This survey was conducted to assess levels of alcohol use, alcohol-related problems, and consumption across alcoholic beverages.

Methodology

This survey was conducted with 1,500 adults in Jiangshan and 1,500 adults in Lanxi to assess levels of alcohol use and alcohol-related problems, including heavy drinking and drinking and driving.  Consumption of different types of alcoholic beverages was also assessed.  Households in each city were selected with a stratified random sampling design, and computer-assisted personal interviews were conducted with one adult in each household.  More detail regarding survey methodology, survey questions, and contents of the dataset can be found in the methodology report, questionnaire, and data codebook, respectively.  Links to these documents are provided below.
