The Global Smart Drinking Goals Data Library was established as part of AB InBev Foundation’s commitment make the outcome evaluation data for the Global Smart Drinking Goals City Pilot initiative available. The Foundation’s Data Sharing Policy specifies that these data be stored in an external data warehouse managed by the evaluator of the program. Currently, that partner is HBSA – a supporting organization of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE).

The Library is designed to enable others to replicate evaluation results, conduct their own research, or use the data to plan programs to reduce harmful alcohol use. The intention is that the data will be used to help advance knowledge, science, and the global field of public health.
