This survey was conducted to assess levels of alcohol use, alcohol-related problems, and consumption across alcoholic beverages.

Methodology

This survey was conducted with 3,00 adults in two Santa Cruz districts in Bolivia (1,500 per district) to assess levels of alcohol use and alcohol-related problems, including heavy drinking and drinking and driving.  Consumption of different types of alcoholic beverages was also assessed.  A multi-stage random sampling design was used to select households in each district.  Computer-assisted personal interviews were conducted with one adult per household.  More detail regarding survey methodology, survey questions, and contents of the dataset can be found in the methodology report, questionnaire, and data codebook, respectively.  Links to these documents are provided below.
