The data library includes survey data from repeated, cross-sectional samples of adults and youth in the Global Smart Drinking Goals City Pilots from 2016 and subsequent years. Data from evaluations of local initiatives in the City Pilots are also available.
No fee will be charged to access data. A fee may be charged if the user requests that HBSA conduct analyses of the data.
Yes. Users must enter into data-sharing agreement as well as provide information about how the data will be used and maintained.
Yes, every team member must complete a conflict of interest form.
Yes. Researchers who apply for GSDG data will have to provide an assurance to obtain ethical clearance for the proposed research. A copy of this approval notification must be provided before any data are shared.
Yes. You will be notified about the status of your request upon completion and submission of the data-sharing and agreement.
Please allow for up to 3 days for a review of your application(s).
Review criteria include the proposed uses for the data (research vs. non-research), appropriateness of data requested (i.e., alignment of study purpose/research questions and the datasets and variables requested), assurance of ethical clearance, and the plans for data management, protection, and destruction. These criteria ensure that proposed research meet standards for the ethical conduct of research and align with the mission of HBSA and and the Global Smart Drinking Goals Data Library.
